MANAGER OF PERMITTING AND ENVIRONMENTAL AFFAIRS
Brita is Manager of Permitting and Environmental Affairs. In this role she will be supporting the permitting and regulatory compliance of offshore wind energy development.
Brita has more than 16 years of experience in environmental planning and permitting, environmental resource analysis, and terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems monitoring. She has coordinated and managed permit strategy development, agency coordination, and regulatory compliance for wind and solar energy projects throughout the United States. Her expertise includes NEPA and Endangered Species Act consultation, and she regularly coordinates with federal, state, and local regulatory authorities during the pre-construction, construction, and operational phases of renewable energy project development. Brita believes that using a sound, science-based approach is key to resolving complicated issues and balancing environmental compliance requirements with economic feasibility.
Brita earned a BS in Wildlife Science from the University of Washington and an MS in Wildlife Ecology and Management from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She is based in Seattle, Washington.
