DEVELOPMENT MANAGER, LONG ISLAND
Jennifer Garvey is Development Manager, Long Island. In this role, Jen is responsible for Deepwater Wind’s local government relations and stakeholder engagement efforts for the South Fork Wind Farm.
Jen has extensive experience in environmental policy, grassroots communication, coalition building and legislative affairs. She joins Deepwater Wind after serving as Associate Director and Co-Founder of the New York State Center for Clean Water Technology at Stony Brook University. Prior to that, Jen served as Deputy Chief of Staff for the Town of Southampton, where she managed a broad portfolio of issues with a particular focus on environmental and land-use policies, including the Town’s beach re-nourishment projects.
Jen, a native of Hampton Bays, earned a master’s degree in public relations from Syracuse University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from SUNY Geneseo.
