Melanie is Manager of Permitting and Environmental Affairs at Deepwater Wind. She is responsible for coordinating and managing the environmental assessment, permitting, and compliance for offshore wind projects.

Since joining Deepwater Wind in 2017, Melanie has managed the compilation of the Construction and Operations Plans and other permits necessary to support environmental compliance with federal and state regulations for offshore wind projects. She regularly works with federal and state agencies, members from local Native American tribes, the commercial and recreational fishing community, and both regional and national environmental advocacy organizations. She has contributed to the design and execution of environmental monitoring and field surveys in the Deepwater Wind lease areas.

Prior to joining Deepwater Wind, Melanie worked on several environmental impact and risk assessments for offshore energy development projects in the United States and worldwide.

Melanie received her BS in Marine Science from Southampton College of Long Island University, and an MS in Fisheries Science from the University of Rhode Island.
